Hawkesbury Community Financial Services Limited (HCFS) is an unlisted public company, the franchisee of the Bendigo Community Bank® Branch, North Richmond, which opened for business in September 2002.
Profits derived from the business are returned to the Hawkesbury community, either by payment of a capped dividend to the community shareholders, or as sponsorship grants or donations to local community groups and projects. Total sponsorship and donations paid to the community are now in excess of $385,000.
HCFS is governed by a Board of local company directors who donate their time and expertise to managing the company. The North Richmond Community Bank® Manager is Denise Handcock, and she and her staff operate the banking business in compliance with Bendigo Bank's Policies and Procedures.
Since paying the first shareholder dividend in 2006, the company has paid total dividends of 39 cents per $1 share.
